Run, pass or sack: Set START and END. Read the gain or loss. Tap NEXT PLAY.
Punt: Tap PUNT to keep START and place END 40 yards downfield (stopping at the goal line). Adjust END to where the kick is caught. Tap LOCK KICK (K), then move END to the return's final spot.
Kickoff: Tap KICKOFF. Put END where the ball is caught. Lock the kick, then move END to the return's final spot.
Button colors: Green is NEXT PLAY. Amber is LOCK KICK. Blue buttons set up KICKOFF or PUNT. Muted red is RESET.
While a kick is locked: KICKOFF, PUNT, CHANGE POSSESSION, and LOCK KICK pause. Move END to finish the return, then NEXT PLAY. Esc unlocks the kick; UNDO restores your previous action.
Esc: Unlocks a kick and restores its start and catch spots. Focus returns to the green stick. When Help is open, Esc closes Help.
Yard lines: A minus means your own side; a plain number means the opponent's side. Example: −25 to 40 is a gain of 35. Midfield is 50. Type 0 for the nearest goal line. Drag to place a spot in an end zone.
CHANGE POSSESSION gives the other team the ball at END. UNDO restores your previous action. A return begins at zero yards until you move END.
Drag markers, use the arrow buttons, or type yard lines. After typing, press Enter or click away. Arrow keys move a focused marker one yard.
Keyboard: Space starts the next play. K locks the kick and starts the return. These shortcuts pause while you type a yard line or have Help open. After actions, focus returns to the green SPOT stick, ready for the arrow keys.
SWITCH ENDS: Use between the first and second quarters or the third and fourth quarters. The same team keeps the ball; both spots move to the other end and the arrow reverses. Yardage stays the same. CHANGE POSSESSION is for the other team taking over at the current spot.
NFL / NCAA / HIGH SCHOOL: Tap the level button to switch. NFL and NCAA kickoffs start at the 35; high school starts at the 40. NCAA return yardage excludes the end zone. NFL return yardage includes it. High-school kicks reaching the goal line are touchbacks.
Your level and last setup save on this browser when storage is available. Clearing browser data removes them. A different website address has its own saved setup.
NEXT PLAY puts both sticks at the last ending spot, at zero yards. Pressing it again won't move them. When the sticks overlap, the green stick stops above the red LOS label so you can see both.
Inside an end zone, the input shows EZ and the depth. Drag to adjust that depth. Typing −20 always means your own 20-yard line, even after an end-zone catch. Changing game levels keeps the locked kick; an end-zone catch is shown as a touchback in high-school mode.
Release notes: Click the version number at the bottom-right to see what is included in this release. Esc closes the popup without changing your play.
RESET: Restores the starting layout and clears the current kick lock. Your game level stays selected; UNDO can restore the previous play.
For penalties or special scoring rulings, use your crew's official yardage.
